The first Android tablet manufactured by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 7 is now seen by most Android fans as an obsolete device mainly because of the old software and high price, compared to what it has to offer.

For those who are still looking for a bargain, online retailer Woot is now offering the Galaxy Tab 7 complete with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity for just $259.99, plus $5 shipping.

However, the catch is that Woot only sells refurbished units and offers only 90 days of limited warranty, which might be a problem for those who decide to go for the tablet.

As a low-budget tablet, this might be a bit expensive, especially when taking into consideration the device's conditions and short warranty offered.

Furthermore, there are other tablets in a slightly higher price range with better hardware and updated software, but that's for the customers to decide.

The first Android tablet brought on the market by Samsung is currently retailed by Sprint for only $199 and a new two-year agreement, but those who want to avoid being tied by a long-term contract will have to pay $429.99 upfront.

As a reminder, the original Galaxy Tab is still stuck at Android 2.2 Froyo, though Samsung already announced that the tablet will receive a software upgrade by the end of the year.

This is one of the few tablets to offer GSM voice communications, but it is also delivered with a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

The original Galaxy Tab is equipped with an ARM Cortex A8 1 GHz processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU and comes with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display with 16 million colors and 600 x 1024 pixel resolution.

The usual 512 MB RAM amount of memory is embedded as well, along with 16GB of storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
