It lets buyers choose the material, the speaker cover and the frames

TVs aren't known for being customizable, something the Loewe doesn't like, at all. It proved that during last year's IFA trade show.

One might argue that there isn't all that much about a TV that can be modified at user request.

Loewe begs to differ. Its Reference ID display will have a choice of covers for the built-in 160W, and that's just the first wave.

Later this year, extra customization options will become available. Frame selection will come first, and then buyers will even be allowed to choose what material and pattern they like best.

Presumably, even outlandish combinations like gold and leather can be ordered.

Loewe's Reference ID TV has a 400 Hz 3D panel, a size of 40 inch, 46 inch or 55 inch, 1 TB HDD space, and dual-channel DVR functionality.

Even without the personalization, the prices will be of £4,500, £5,500 and £6,500 ($7,000 / €7,000, $8,564 / €~8,500 and $10,121 / €10,000).
