This year's edition of the Handheld Learning Conference and Exhibition is getting ready to make its announcements. Sponsors are piling up and preparing their new products targeting especially the education sector.

Samsung will be launching a new product line. RedHalo, on the other hand, will offer a free 1 GB space for online personal learning. This learning platform for mobile devices intends to bring its services to every primary and secondary school student in the United Kingdom.

The list goes on, with Plus UK education technology specialist RM set to announce a new product line, while Promethean will introduce Activexpression, a new student response system, for the first time in the UK. The main purpose of this event will be that of making mobile phones useful for the young people that are studying. Moreover, it should be great publicity to all companies involved in this project.

"We are proud to be sponsors of this year's Handheld Learning conference. High-speed, 'mobile broadband' networks have the ability to completely transform how, when and where we learn. In the next five years we will see mobile technology start to deliver education in a new, interactive and exciting way that will benefit pupils and teachers alike. The conference is a fantastic forum to generate ideas, debate and plans for how mobile technology can be exploited in learning in the future", said Derek Williamson, Head of Business Development, T-Mobile UK.

The sponsors' list includes some big names that are supposed to ensure this event's popularity and arouse the interest of many people. Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Nintendo, Samsung and T-Mobile UK will all demonstrate new learning technologies. This third edition of the Handheld Learning Conference and Exhibition will take place on 10-12th October 2007 at Central Hall Westminster, London.
