Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has been long rumored to plan the release of a Red flavor of the HTC One M8 flagship handset on its network, and the phone has leaked online once again.

The phone is reportedly set to become available at the wireless operator as soon as June 5, and will sport exactly the same features and capabilities as the original versions.

However, it will be dressed up entirely in Red, something that is not unusual for HTC, as the company launched a similar version of the HTC One (M7) last year too.

The newly leaked photo with the smartphone, available courtesy of droid-life, provides us with a glimpse at the retail package of the device, while also showing a bit of the phone itself.

As mentioned above, the Red HTC One M8 will be released with the same hardware specs as the original model, which was put up for sale on Verizon on March 25, including a 5-inch LCD touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080p) resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

Moreover, the phone arrives on the market with a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM, which will ensure appealing performance capabilities at all times.

The HTC One M8 also sports 16/32GB of internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, something that its predecessor did not have to offer.

On the back, the smartphone has dual 4MP UltraPixel cameras with auto-focus, dual-LED flash, and full HD video recording capabilities. Additionally, HTC has packed the phone with a 5-megapixel front camera, which should prove a great option when it comes to making video calls or taking selfies while on the go.

The handset features the usual set of connectivity capabilities as well, including 4G LTE (Cat4, 50 Mbps UL, 150 Mbps DL), 3G (HSDPA, 42 Mbps, HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, and a microUSB v2.0 (MHL) port.

Moreover, it comes with a built-in GPS receiver (with A-GPS support and GLONASS), Adreno 330 graphics, and the usual set of sensors, including accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.

HTC One M8 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with the Sense 6.0 UI loaded on top. The mobile phone is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 2600mAh battery that can deliver up to 20 hours of talk time or up to 496 hours of standby time on 3G networks.
