14 DAY TRIAL // One of the few applications that allow users to listen and record their favorite Internet radio stations has been developed by Resco – Pocket Radio. The application is basically a player and recorder that provides users with the possibility of smoothly streaming radio broadcasting, which makes it perfect for those that are radio-dependent. Resco Radio Pocket is compatible with formats such as MP3 and OGG Vorbis and supports skins that can be downloaded from the developer's website.
The application organizes radio stations into categories that include each radio station's list of streams. These categories can contain a certain number of genre radios or you can decide on each of the category's characteristics. The main interface of the application is parted in two: the Preset panel and the Main panel.
The first one features nine predefined buttons, each representing a radio station, so you can quickly browse between all of them. To change one of the radio stations, simply tap and hold the number you want to be changed and add the radio station that you like better. The Main panel features the actual controls of the player/recorder: Play button, Information texts, Volume up/down buttons.
You can easily import or load new radio stations from an M3U or PLS file manually. The recording feature of the application can be scheduled to start at a certain date and hour, but an end-time must also be predefined. Thus, you will be able to record your favorite broadcast program by simply assigning the starting and ending time of the recording for the application. Although you will only be able to record MP3 stream, this is still a nice feature for those that cannot listen to their favorite broadcastings.
