The city of Medellin in Colombia is now home to one very tall living wall. Thus, the wall, dubbed Green Medellin, is said to measure some 300 feet (roughly 92 meters) in height.

Inhabitat tells us that this oversized living wall is the creation of Groncol and Paisajismo Urbano. Whereas the former was in charge of design and construction, the latter dealt with hydroponic technology.

The wall sits on the side of a residential building in said urban area and is made up of hundreds of plants. Of these, some are native to Colombia, and some have been brought here from other regions across the world, the same source reports.

The folks who worked on creating the living wall say that the plants used to complete this project were all carefully selected so as to make sure that the harsh weather and strong winds at the height where they now sit will not damage them.

By the looks of it, the people who live in the residential building that accommodates for the 300-foot living wall are able to observe the plants from their balconies.

Several under such projects are now being implemented across the world, so odds are it will not be long until a living wall even taller than the one in Medellin, Colombia, makes headlines.
