If you happen to be the type of person that's always had somewhat of a keen interest in robotics and you want to share this with your kids, then you might want to give the ReCon 6.0 Programmable Rover, a fun and rather inexpensive toy robot.

We're pretty sure that robots will become a significant part of everyday life in just a couple of years' time and, for this reason, getting kids acquainted with such products from a very early age is perhaps a good idea.

Anyway, one shouldn't imagine that the ReCon robot is some complicated piece of gear, because the truth of the matter is quite the opposite.

In fact, it comes equipped with a few very user-friendly control options, including some directional arrows and a 10-button membrane, as well as built-in microphone and speaker.

Some LEDs have also been added to the mix, while the device allows users to create their own “missions” by setting the distinct paths the robots will have to follow.

Additionally, the ReCon 6.0 Programmable Rover has also been equipped with an LCD display, as well as a metallic transport handle, so that it can be carried around more easily.

And you shouldn't really worry about the fact that the ReCon 6.0 Programmable Rover will take way too much space around the house, given the fact that it measures just around 10.5 x 11.5 x 10.5 inches.

Plus, it's powered by 3 C-type batteries, although the manufacturers doesn't provide any significant information on the level of autonomy these power packs will be able to provide.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll also have to mention that the ReCon 6.0 Programmable Rover is actually quite an affordable product, selling for somewhere in the vicinity of 70 US dollars, which is really money well spent, given this thing's sheer cool factor.
