New footage released promises a horror movie like no other

Zombie / horror movie fans, get ready: the clock is already ticking on the latest offering from After Dark Films, “Re-Kill.” A new, 6-minute trailer for it has just been released.

If you think that, if you've seen one zombie, post-apocalyptic movie you've seen it all, then think again.

“Re-Kill” introduces a potentially brilliant idea to explain the use of the found footage technique: the hottest television show after the zombie outbreak documents the end of the world – broadcasting it live for all remaining humans to see.

Re-Ans are Re-Animates, zombies. They make up 85 percent of the population of the world, while the remaining are Humans, struggling hard to keep another outbreak at bay.

The Re-Ans are isolated in “zones,” which, in turns are policed by the R-Division, a special task force whose sole responsibility is that of keeping zombies from infecting other humans.

The trailer looks like usual horror movie fare, but one must note that it also boasts pretty awesome special effects and a good score.

All in all, this could be the new “28 Days Later,” i.e. a zombie film to reinvent the concept of zombie films.
