Razer has managed to get into such a position that it is one of those peripheral manufacturing companies that almost every gamer has heard about.

Which is why the launch of a new headset or another gaming-oriented device is always looked upon with high expectations. Such a device is the newly launched Razer Kraken 7.1.

Closely resembling the Razer Kraken Pro, this particular headset comes with customizable 7.1 virtual surround sound, as well as a digital omnidirectional microphone.

One of the downsides for the new Kraken 7.1 is the fact that it comes only with USB connectivity. Audio and microphone jacks are, unfortunately, not included.

In terms of specifications, they come with a frequency response of 20 to 20.000Hz, a braided cable length of 4.27 feet and as far as the microphone goes, it sports a signal to noise ratio of 65 dB. According to Tomshardware, the new Kraken 7.1 is available for $99.99 / €99.99.

Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director, said, “With its superior software capabilities, unrivaled sound quality and comfort, the Razer Kraken 7.1 is the definitive USB surround sound headset for PC gaming.”
