The concept of freedom is usually linked to the idea of free will, but sub-meanings are being attributed to all kinds of things nowadays, like mouse cords, if Razer's most recent product is anything to go by.

Gamers, especially those with no sort of financial worries, always make it a point to have the baddest hardware around, down to aesthetically-embellished PC cases and peripherals.

Indeed, there are many unconventional mice, with or without high numbers of mice and programmable keys, something that goes for keyboards as well.

Still, there is one thing that hard-core gamers, especially those who like RTS (real-time strategy) and FPS (first-person shooter) games, might run into.

Basically, depending on what else in on the desk or table where the, keyboard and mouse sit, the mouse cord could come entangled one way or another.

For regular users, this is not that great an issue, but enthusiasts might experience mild to serious conflicting emotions if they happen to lose game sessions because of something like this.

Eager to remove the possibility of such mishaps, Razer has completed the so-called Mouse Bungee, a small contraption that holds onto the mouse cord.

Already up for pre-order, it comes with a price of 19.99 Euro ($19.99 in the US) and will start shipping on July 28.

For those who want details, it is coated black and has a weighted base, anti-slip feet, a head grip (for cord management) and a taut spring that is resistant to rust, allowing the cable to flex.

“Back in the old days, mice weren’t as well-made as today and the cord would tangle and drag against surfaces, a major source of annoyance for any serious gamer,” said Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, President, Razer.

“Then the Mouse Bungee came along and solved all that by keeping the mouse cord off the ground so your swiping is optimally drag-free. Razer’s proud to rejuvenate such an innovative contraption for next generation gamers looking to achieve the highest level of gaming performance with their mice.”
