Releasing new mice aimed at MMO gamers is not all that Razer is up to, the company having also completed the development of a new mouse pad, the so-called Ironclad, meant to maximize comfort with its aluminum body.

Not too long ago, Razer fulfilled the dreams of a great many MMO gamer by releasing the Naga Maelstrom and Naga Molten mice.

Now, the same company has brought forth a device meant to complement them, or any other mouse, and give end-users the comfort they need during long hours of game play.

The product in question is a new mouse pad which goes by the name of ironclad, even though the actual material its body is made of is anodized aluminum.

The mouse pad also features a non-slip rubber base and a smooth, sandblasted surface for better mouse gliding.

What's more, the mouse pad itself is quite large compared to most other competing products and comes with its very own carrying pouch, not just for portability but also for added mat protection.

"The Razer Ironclad stands apart from the pack because it delivers the highest form of comfort and long-lasting performance with its ultra-smooth surface and sturdy metal body," said Robert 'Razerguy' Krakoff, president, Razer USA.

"We understand the diversity of gamers out there, from ones who demand a large surface area to those who want superior tracking precision,” he added.

“We produced the Razer Ironclad to make winning feel easy, and give every type of gamer the feel, traction, and durability that they need to do so," Krakoff went on to saying.

All in all, the newcomer measures 320 mm (length) x 270mm (width) x 2.5mm (height) and should start shipping, through Razerzone.com at least, later this month.

The price of the Ironclad will be of $59.99 and worldwide availability is scheduled to ramp up in November.
