Rayman Legends launches soon on the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles and Ubisoft has confirmed that it has managed quite a few great technical achievements on the two platforms, like the elimination of loading times and the presence of uncompressed textures.

Rayman Legends amazed gamers on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and PS Vita back in September of last year, and Ubisoft is set to soon bring it to the PS4 and Xbox One platforms.

After sharing some new release dates for these editions of the great puzzle platformer, a series of fresh technical details have been posted on the UbiBlog by the company.

Rayman Legends will take advantage of the extra power from the PS4 and Xbox One in order feature uncompressed textures, making the already great visuals look even better.

"The power behind the Xbox One and the PS4 allows us to display the game’s textures without any compression on these consoles. This makes the game’s visuals even sharper than before and will allow players to see even more of the details and nuances our artists put into the textures of the game. These uncompressed textures highlight the hand-drawn style of the game’s visuals."

What's more, Rayman Legends on PS4 and Xbox One will also eliminate loading times, meaning players will instantly get to their intended levels without any distractions.

"The enhanced power of these new consoles has also allowed us to do away with the loading times when entering or exiting a level. Jumping inside a painting will now start the level immediately. Jumping in and out of a level has never been faster and it’s a great feeling to have such a seamless experience. Navigating in the game now feels smoother and your gaming experience is never stopped by loading transitions."

Rayman Legends reaches the PS4 and Xbox One on February 18 in North America and February 21 in Europe.
