Apparently, actress Raven Symone has been plagued by gay rumors for years, but it's just recently that the tabloids started focusing more on her again, as one report linked her to America's Next Top Model's AzMarie Livingston. She's speaking out on those rumors on her Twitter.

The other day, The National Enquirer ran a story that claimed that Raven and AzMarie were an item and had decided to move in together.

Their decision was said to have infuriated Raven's family, who still insisted that she tried to find a man to settle down; their objection only made the star more determined to move in with her girlfriend.

Though she's not in the habit of publicly acknowledging magazine rumors, Raven has taken to her Twitter page to set the record straight – which is just a matter of speaking, because she refuses to deny or confirm the report.

She does say, however, much to her fans' delight, that she doesn't have to and will certainly not indulge gossips' fantasy of talking about her personal life.

Whether she's gay or not – but she's not saying she is – it is her right to love whoever she loves. At the same time, it is her right not to reveal that person's identity to the press.

Being a celebrity doesn't mean that she has to sell her personal life and, just because others do it, doesn't mean that she will too, she says.

“I'm living my PERSONAL life the way I'm happiest. I'm not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I'm dating. and I shall not start now,” the actress says.

“My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm datings to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life. However that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I'm not harming anyone,” Raven continues.

Love is love regardless of gender, color or other considerations – a statement her fans agree with, and have responded very warmly to.

“I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!” Raven continues.
