‘Jotly’ for Android is simply one of the best mobile applications ever. Firespotter Labs, the team behind ‘Jotly’ teased us a few months ago with a video that presented the absolute need of the world to rate everything that can be rated.

Today, the company announced the availability of the social, local and mobile application in the Android Market. Initially launched on the iPhone, ‘Jotly’ was ported to Android devices due to the massive demand and positive feedback received by the developers.

With ‘Jotly’ for Android users will be able to do only one thing – RATE. Either it’s your last week’s match date or the movie you’ve just seen the other day.

In addition, Firespotter Labs announced that the Jotly’s API (Application Programming Interface) is now open for other developers who feel they have something useful to add or create entirely new apps. The platform enables users to upload and copy pictures on both Android Market and App Store.

My creators, forward-thinking as they are, conjured me up from what was, in essence, a tongue-in-cheek video parody of Silicon Valley's variation-on-a-theme approach to start-ups. Imagine their surprise when I became sought after by Android users. And the rest, as they say, stays in Vegas,” said Jotly’s devs.

According to the developers, Jotly is one of the first photo sharing platforms for both iPhone and Android devices that allows users to create new and useful applications.

I am throwing down the gauntlet for developers with a sense of humor and style to create brash, new reasons to use our mobile phones. And just so you know, I don't often drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis,” concluded the developers.

‘Jotly’ is now available as a free download via Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
