An ambitious rat

Ratatouille was damn funny when it first appeared on the big screen. That's a reason good enough for making it a PC, PSP, GBA game and now a mobile one. It follows the lines set by the movie, although it goes nowhere close to its complexity.

The mobile game takes the most challenging aspect from the Ratatouille movie and leaves it up to the player to handle. Unfortunately, this does not mean that it also brings the same amount of humor, as it is rather plain and dull at some points. The Ratatouille mobile game highly resembles Diner Dash, only with a greater amount of problems to face.

The gamer plays the role of Remy, the rat that wants to pursuit its cooking talent and become a chef. In order to do this, he must control human Linguini's actions from under his hat. He must do all this without being caught by the restaurant's Head Chef, who walks around the kitchen.

The player must make complicated dishes from basic ingredients, such as meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, sauce, cheese and others. He must prepare the gourmet items on the menu from several different cooking stations. Remy, the rat must do this before the hungry customers get impatient and leave in an angry huff, but also take care that he does not get caught by its superiors.

The game features a training mode, the "Cook School", where the player can get accustomed with the commands. He can then move on to the "Kitchen Rush", where he must make several different dishes while more chefs, food critics, impatient customers and a Head Chef all make pressures.

There are some bonuses to receive and also the animation graphics that manage to make Ratatouille truly enjoyable. Best of all, several scenes from the movie can be relived in the game, making double the fun.
