This past July 1, a rare white rhino calf was born as Cotswold Wildlife Park in the UK. Its parents, Monty and Nancy, are seven years old each, and highly committed to taking good care of their offspring.

Although neither Nancy, nor Monty has ever been a parent before, it appears that the two have no issues looking after the latest addition to their family. Zoo Borns reports that the white rhino calf was born in the early hours of the morning. Staff at the Cotswold Wildlife Park has been keeping a close eye on it ever since it arrived into this world.

As far as veterinarians can tell, the baby rhino is in good health. It will continue growing as the days go by, and one day will sport one impressive tusk.

White rhinos came dangerously close to extinction in the 1900s. However, thanks to conservationists, they are slowly making a comeback.
