Whereas other rappers would go for a more symbolic or even more aggressive design for a face tattoo, rapper Gucci Mane is taking body art to whole new levels: he got new ink, of an ice cream cone, on his face.

While he’s reportedly working on his fourth studio album, Mane made some time to hit an Atlanta tattoo parlor, where he got the new ink.

An employee was lucky enough to get Mane to pose with his new piece of body art, posted the picture on Twitter and, as the saying goes, the rest is history, PopEater reports.

“The rapper joined the ranks of fellow wordsmiths Lil’ Wayne and Game on Wednesday when he added a face tattoo to his collection of ink,” says the e-zine.

“The ‘Lemonade’ rapper visited Tenth Street Tattoo near Atlanta, Ga, where tattoo artist Shane Willoughby added a three-scoop ice cream cone to Mane’s right cheek,” PopEater writes.

“In case you’re not familiar with the temperature of ice cream, the word ‘Brr’ sits at the top of the waffle cone, and two red lightning bolts run through the tattoo,” the e-zine adds.

The meaning of the tattoo, if there is a hidden one to it, has not yet been explained. Perhaps a statement would be in order.

Suffice it to say that pictures of Mane’s new tat are making the rounds in the blogosphere and celebrity bloggers are quite puzzled (to say the least) of what to make of it.

“Jason Murray, an employee at a nearby piercing shop, captured Gucci Mane’s newest addition and posted it on Twitter, captioning the photo ‘GUCCI!!!’” PopEater further reports.

The same e-zine suggests that the new face tattoo comes with very dubious timing, since it’s not long that the rapper was committed for a full mental evaluation after he violated his parole and claims were made that he was unable to “intelligently participate in [his] probation revocation hearing.”
