14 DAY TRIAL // Rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco over the weekend and got so upset about it that he wanted to go after the bad guys himself, it has emerged. Details on the incident are still pretty sketchy right now.
However, TMZ has learned that the rapper and his ever-present entourage were in San Francisco over the weekend when the incident happened.
Shots were fired and 2 Chainz’s people ran away “like cockroaches,” leaving their friend to deal with it, the e-zine says.
“A San Francisco PD sergeant tells TMZ, cops responded to a shots-fired call just after 4:30 PM. We're told when they got to the scene, 2 Chainz wasn't cooperative, saying he wanted to handle it himself,” the celebrity publication writes.
Eventually, the rapper agreed to talk to the officers.
“Chainz told police his wallet was stolen and that's all that happened. Police reviewed surveillance video, which revealed Chainz was clearly the intended target,” TMZ writes.
The same footage revealed that 2 Chainz doesn’t have too reliable friends or, at least, that he can’t count on them in any way when a fire weapon is involved.
“We're told video also shows Chainz and 14 of his people all ‘ran away from the incident like ‘cockroaches running from a flashlight’,” TMZ also says.
As of now, police are looking for the assailants. No word yet on whether any of the 14 members of the rapper’s crew were bodyguards or, if they weren’t, on why he was traveling without security.
In February this year, 2 Chainz made headlines after he was arrested for marijuana possession and the cops who booked him – and treated him in quite a horrible fashion, as per his own words – insisted that they take a picture with him, which was then posted on social media.
