It also has NFC technology and apt-X technology, for lossless music streaming

Portable speakers are all well and good, but they have a lower sound quality than actual speaker systems do, especially if they use wireless technology. Rapoo claims to have mitigated these issues though, when it made the A800 Bluetooth Stereo Speaker.

The newcomer is clearly a portable Bluetooth speaker and even has NFC (near-field communication), which allows it to instantly pair with other Bluetooth devices (phones, media players, MP3 players, PCs, etc.).

However, it has two assets that many of its ilk do not. One of them is the Bluetooth 4.0 apt-X technology, which streams music without any audible loss in quality from up to 10 meters away / 30-33 feet.

The other advantage is Rapoo's own Guided Acoustic Wave Technology, which “enlarges the sound-generating surface of the speaker,” thus giving it some extra strength, on par with that of larger speakers.

All in all, the Rapoo A800 Bluetooth Stereo Speaker is said to deliver “well-rounded, gutsy sound” from any Android and iOS device, as well as portable games consoles, laptops, MP3 and Mp4 players, any Bluetooth source really.

Altogether, it measures 426 x 116 x 109 mm / 16.77 x 4.56 x 4.29 inches and lasts for around 8 hours on a battery charge. The onboard buttons can be used for volume level, style presets, play/pause and other things, though you can control those facets from your phone app as well.

With availability currently restricted to Europe, the price of the Rapoo A800 Bluetooth Stereo Speaker is of €129.99 / $129.99-$174.64, and the color options are black, green and yellow.
