There are so many peripherals out there that it's sometimes hard to figure out which to buy, assuming you even bother picking things out instead of choosing at random something that looks well. Rapoo might interest you though.

Rapoo has been making a name for itself over the past half a year by releasing really unusual peripherals, most of them wireless.

And, of course, they aren't “unusual” because they are wireless, but due to other reasons, like having a touchpad where the numpad should be.

Such is the case of the Rapoo E2800P Bluetooth Touch Keyboard, which basically doubles as a laptop base, or integrates the functions of a mouse.

After all, even mice aren't the easiest things to use when you're lounging on a couch or bed and watching a film late at night.

Sure, optical/laser mice can handle fabric and other materials, but it's still awkward to use them on a mattress or duvet.

And Rapoo didn't exactly toss a makeshift touchpad into things and call it a day. It was fashionable about it too.

Which is to say, the touchpad is a pretty elegant part of the keyboard, featuring a glass cover, of all things. It measures 80 x 90 mm / 3.14 x 3.54 inches.

Needless to say, Rapoo has also included gesture support. There are fifteen of them that the touchpad can recognize, like swipes, pinches, rotations, flicks, etc.

The rest of the features on the Rapoo E2800P keyboard are what you would expect from a high-grade Bluetooth device: a range of 10 meters (with 360-degree coverage of course), 16 multimedia keys (with pre-programmed functions activated by pressing the Fn key), and a Li-ion battery pack that lasts for two weeks (takes 2-3 hours to recharge via USB, and you can use it while you do so).

Finally, that the flat chiclet scissor keys are spaced more than usual should even make the act of typing things comfortable, even at high speed.

All in all, the Rapoo E2800P Wireless Touch Keyboard with Multitouch Gesture Control pretty much justifies its price of €49.99 / $49.99. Needless to say, the newcomer ships with a nano receiver.

The product is meant to sell in a pair with the M10 Wireless Optical Mouse, but you can choose against doing so if you wish. Stick around for a look at that product if you want to know the ups and downs before making a decision.
