Xplore Technologies is a company which aims to provide some decent competition for Panasonic in the mobile rugged device market, more specifically in the tablet sector.

One of its latest products, the RangerX Android tablet has made an appearance on e-commerce website, GovX that’s specifically destined for military and government members.

RangerX is a Google certified Android rugged tablet designed for professionals activating in harsh environments such as training grounds for the military or police-force.

RangerX receives its power from a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz combined 32G eMMC NAND Flash Memory.

Being a rugged product, this tablet is capable of surviving 4-inch / 1.22 m drops and to continue working under blowing rain, extreme temperatures, blowing sand and dust, humidity, salt fog spray and functional shock.

The slate offers 10 hours of battery life and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
