An £80,000 ($132,000 / €96,000) Range Rover ended up at the bottom of a 14-foot (4-meter) drop after a female driver lost control of the vehicle.

Well, car accidents happen, you may say, but this case is particularly unfortunate, as the vehicle was brand new and had only 500 miles (804 km) on the clock.

The exact circumstances of the crash, which took place on Saturday in the upmarket London district of Fitzrovia, are unclear, but it is obvious that the luxury 4x4 car somehow left the road and became wedged on its side between a wall and a basement.

The incident could be compared to an elaborate stunt, as some might say that it would take a lot of skill (or bad luck) to land such a huge car in such a narrow place.

Luckily, the driver and three female passengers escaped with no serious injuries from the crash, but I guess they're hurting inside after completely destroying the new car. The car was basically written off.

Mirror says that the Fire Brigade was called to the scene and lifted out the brand-new Range Rover from the hole using a crane. The roof of the luxury car was wrecked, and several windows were cracked and broken.
