Earlier today, a rep for country singer Randy Travis confirmed that he’d been rushed to a hospital in Texas after he developed heart complications. He’s already undergone a surgical intervention, his sister-in-law tells People magazine.

“We have been told he has had surgery. Our prayers are going out to him because my husband just had a heart attack last year, so it is in their family,” Teresa Traywick, wife to Randy’s brother Ricky, explains.

However, she doesn’t or can’t offer more details on his condition, so her statement makes no reference to reports that Randy is in “critical condition.”

“Their mother passed away at an early age with her heart, so it is like these boys are following right in their footsteps. My prayers are with them. That's all I can say right now,” Teresa says.

As we speak, word online is that the family is “frantic” because Randy is not responding as expected to treatment.
