The development team at Ubisoft has already offered details on the ten new operators that will be part of Rainbow Six Siege, and now the company is ready to reveal that it is planning to introduce a special Collector's Edition for the title and a new trailer which shows off the core mechanics of the experience.

The footage is carefully chosen to reveal both familiar and new elements of the series, with a focus on fast action and explosive moments.

The stars of the trailer for Rainbow Six Siege are the new operators, drawn from the most important Special Forces groups from around the world and each of them able to deploy a special unique ability to change the course of an engagement.

The Collector's Edition for the game is called Art of Siege and will include a new collector's designed box, a skin pack which will make all in-game weapons golden, and a tactical guide including no less than 120 pages.

The book is designed to give players info about both the characters and the maps of Rainbow Six Siege, giving them new ways to prepare for action.

Pre-orders for the Collector's Edition are now live on the official site, and all those who pay for the title now will be included in the coming testing phase for it.

Rainbow Six Siege aims to mix tactics and fast-paced action

The hardest task for the development team at Ubisoft is to try to create a shooter experience that appeals to modern players and can compete with the likes of Battlefield and Call of Duty in terms of sales, while also preserving the legacy of the franchise, which was always more concerned with tactics than with reflex shooting.

Leaked footage taken from Rainbow Six Siege and released earlier in the year was not warmly received by the fan base, but the studio has said that it will show during the coming testing process that plenty of complexity remains associated with the core mechanics.

Gamers who play Rainbow Six Siege will be able to use 20 special operatives, ten of which have not yet been revealed, and a Recruit concept is also included to make sure that five man teams have all the combat abilities they need.
