Since new motherboards, CPUs and graphics cards are coming out, or will soon do so, it behooves case makers to offer new things as well, so Raidmax obliged, creating the Seiran.

The Seiran case was launched by Raidmax in a long, new, detailed press release that can be read in full here.

It is supposed to combine all the assets that users can wish for and a more or less affordable package, certainly more affordable than the Abee Acubic M20 HTPC model, to give one example.

It might be more accurate to use the plural when referring to the Seiran, but the fact is that the three versions are identical, save for their color.

Black, red and white models will be offered, starting at some point during the middle of November, 2011.

Their price will be of $79.99, or 58 Euro, according to current exchange rates, not that European prices reflect them much.

The chassis measures 480 (L) x 185 (W) x 480 (H) mm (18.89 x 7.28 x 18.89 inches) and “gives PC builders easy access and tool-less installation, simple cable management, plus great expandability.”

No less than nine 5.25-inch drive bays are present, all with the aforementioned tool-free installation and whatever is needed to mount smaller drives (3.5-inch and 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs).

Two fans of 120mm are present, a LED-lit on the front and a regular one at the back, while a side-window lets people peek in and see the state of whatever hardware ends up inside the case.

Furthermore, three holes are drilled in the back, for watercooling, since enthusiasts might not find fans and heatsinks suitable to their needs and preferences.

Finally, the front-placed I/O panel offers one SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, a pair of USB 2.0 connectors, the obligatory audio jacks and a 2-channel fan controller.
