Over the weekend, celebrity chef Paula Deen lost her job at the Food Network after she admitted in court to using the N-word in reference to an ex-employee. QVC is also pulling out of a contract with her in the aftermath of the scandal.

In a statement to celebrity publication TMZ, a rep for the network admits that the recent scandal has made them question their collaboration because the association is not one they desire.

“[We have] concerns [over] the unfortunate Paula Deen situation. Please know that QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior,” the rep says.

“We are closely monitoring these events and we are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen. In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC,” adds the same.

TMZ points out that this is nothing short of double talk for “we’ll see how this plays out in the following days and decide depending on that.”

As noted a couple of days ago, Paula has already apologized for the offense she caused and begged for forgiveness from fans, friends, and family.
