Rachelle Lefevre might return to “The Twilight Saga” as the villain Victoria, a recently emerged report says. There is one big catch, though: that the actress and Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind the highly successful franchise, manage to come to an understanding through their lawyers. The feud that has been playing out in the media for the past days has reached the next stage, with attorneys taking the matter to court, E! Online informs.

As of now, E! says, the two parties have reached a sort of truce, in that neither will talk rubbish about the other anymore the way they have until now. Instead of issuing defamatory statements, legal representatives for both Lefevre and Summit will have a court of law to determine whether Summit was right in firing the actress from the franchise on the grounds cited, namely her agreeing to do the indie film “Barney’s Version.” If the court decides it was not, then chances for her to return to “Twilight” are looking up, the report says. If not, at least Lefevre will get some sort of compensation.

Either way, the star is not letting this go without a proper fight, especially since she feels she was unrightfully fired. “In short, Lefevre wants her money. Summit is arguing she’s due nothing because the studio insists she’s in breach of contract for signing on for the indie flick ‘Barney’s Version.’ ‘Rachelle’s contract says she’s allowed to do smaller projects like “Barney’s Version,” one source said.” E! Online writes.

For the time being, the two parties have agreed to stop talking trash about each other in the media, with Lefevre’s case meant to be seen as a warning for all other cast members “never to mess with the studio.” What this means, E! adds, is that there will be no more anti-Summit talk from Rachelle from now on, while the studio has already promised not to discredit her in the media in future statements. In the meantime, word has it that the “Twilight” cast, currently preparing to start work on “Eclipse,” is extremely upset about Lefevre’s dismissal.

“Meanwhile, her ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ costars are ‘devastated,’ said another source. ‘As nice and lovely as Bryce [Dallas Howard] is, they feel like a family member has been taken from them.’ […] Sources also tell me that shortly after Summit announced Lefevre’s dismissal, the rest of the cast was told not to elaborate on the circumstances to the media, beyond repeating that it was due to a scheduling conflict.” E! Online further explains.
