Film arrives on March 23, will probably be a real tearjerker

“The Deep Blue Sea” is based on a play by Terence Rattigan and has nothing to do with the film starring Samuel L. Jackson or with sharks, just in case you thought the name rang a bell. Above is a brand new trailer for it.

Starring Rachel Weisz as a married woman who falls in love with another man (Tom Hiddleston), the film is as post-War drama, with heavy accents of romanticism and tragedy.

Weisz's husband, played by Simon Russell Beale, will make sure she will suffer for daring to look at – and have an affair with – another man.

Directed by Terence Davies, “The Deep Blue Sea” feels very old-fashioned, painful and sweet. Given the actors cast as leads, it will probably also be a pleasure to watch.

Just make sure you have plenty of hankies on you if you decide to see this one in a theater.
