Rachel Uchitel, the woman known to the media mostly as Tiger Woods’ number 1 mistress, or the “official” mistress, has just left “Celebrity Rehab,” sources close to the production tell TMZ. The decision to do so had nothing to do with a reported gag order from Woods’ attorneys, but rather with Rachel realizing she needed to seek help in a real rehab facility.

After much speculation, Uchitel’s participation in the latest season of the show was finally confirmed. Word on the street had it that she was addicted to prescription pills and that’s why she had finally agreed to be a part of the show – aside from the fact that she’d been offered a considerable sum of money to do it, and she was rather hard up for cash. Later, it emerged that Tiger’s attorneys had reached out to her to ban her from talking about her affair with the golfer, but whether that had something to do with her decision to leave the show is yet to be determined.

“Rachel Uchitel has checked out of ‘Celebrity Rehab’ – but we’re told the experience was so profound, Rachel has decided to check into an aftercare facility. Sources close to Rachel tell TMZ she checked into a transitional living facility in Malibu on Friday morning – and this time, there are no cameras involved,” TMZ writes. Right now, further details of this are not available – and chances are none will be made public soon, if the report that the Woods camp forbade her to speak of him in front of the cameras has any foundation.

We still have speculation, though, and the hope for a press statement from Rachel herself once her rehab program at the facility is completed. “We’re told Rachel has stopped drinking, smoking and taking pills – and that she forked over $20,000 to stay there for 30 days. According to our sources, the biggest selling point about the facility for Rachel – her dogs get to stay there with her. Some habits shouldn’t be kicked,” TMZ goes on to say.

Though she rarely addresses in public speculation on her personal life, this doesn’t stop rumors from making the rounds. Just recently, for instance, word got out in the tabs that Tiger wanted to marry Rachel because she was the one he’d wanted all along. At the same time, he was reportedly furious with her for agreeing to do “Celebrity Rehab,” because certain things could come out to light and he did not want that. That last part turned out to be true to some extent or another – but there was absolutely no truth about the rumor that Tiger Woods wanted to marry Rachel Uchitel, as we also informed you a short while back.
