Gaming is one of the most profitable sectors in the consumer IT market. People do it for fun, for relaxation, but there is a professional "mob" that really know what true gaming is. Of course, when there is a market, there are suppliers, and a plethora of companies decided that it would be a wise idea to squeeze some revenue out of this passion.

When it comes to gaming gear, the first brands that come in the professionals' minds is Logitech and the newer Razer. Logitec's gaming mice in the G series need no introduction and the G15 is the all time best gaming keyboard. Razer has caught up and compensated with their Lycosa keyboard and the Lachesis mouse (a 4000 DPI monster) to aid the gamers in their quest. Good mice and keyboards don't make good players, this is the universal truth, but they can give the professionals a boost in skill and accuracy.

ROCCAT is the latest addition in the gaming sector and has come with yet another set of peripherals. The Kone mouse is alleged to end the problem of cursor movement when the device gets picked from the supportive surface. This is the result of the first Distance control Unit, which renders the mouse inactive when there's a certain distance between the laser sensor and the surface.

The mouse's aspect can be customized to match the user's aesthetics and the manufacturer has packed inside the mouse a set of five different color LEDs that can give about 1000 color tones. The mouse however has an important feature, namely the weigh balance that allows weigh customization so that the mouse feels just as the player wants.

The Valeo Gaming Keyboard includes a full set of backlit keys and a display screen placed above the numeric pad. Macros and profiles can be directly stored on the keyboard due to the 2MB of built-in memory. The keyboard also includes a set of 41 macro keys and an external microphone.

The official launch date for both products has been rescheduled for early next year. The company did not specify when the gear will be publicly available, nor the retail price for any of them.
