Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has announced the upcoming availability of two new BlackBerry smartphones on the market in Malaysia, namely BlackBerry Curve 9320 and BlackBerry Curve 9220.

Both devices arrive on shelves with leading messaging and social networking capabilities, while offering easy-to-use designs and increased usage times.

BlackBerry Curve 9320 and Curve 9220 provide users with all the tools they require to stay connected at all times with the people that matter the most to them.

The smartphones enable users to benefit from quick and easy typing, while offering them a dedicated BBM key to offer instant access to RIM’s popular mobile social network.

“Today is an exciting day for us as we introduce two new smartphones here in Malaysia. These new BlackBerry Curve smartphones will definitely be a great upgrade for first-time smartphone users as well as existing Curve customers looking for a step up in speed and functionality,” said Nicholas Horton, managing director, Indochina at RIM.

“BlackBerry smartphones deliver a truly unique messaging and social networking experience for mobile users and we believe Malaysians will also be very pleased by the ease-of-use and affordability of the BlackBerry Curve 9320 and 9220.”

The two devices feature preloaded apps for Facebook and Twitter, as well as with a Social Feeds 2.0 application to enable users to easily post updates to multiple social networks, to enjoy messaging capabilities and to stay on top of news from RSS feeds.

The new devices also bring along built-in FM radio capabilities, so that users could tune into their favorite local stations. They can deliver up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 28 hours of music playback.

Both handsets run under BlackBerry OS 7.1 and feature Parental Controls to help protecting children from specific functions, applications and features.

The BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphone will become available for purchase on June 4th via all BlackBerry authorized retailers and through partner carriers in Malaysia. It will go on pre-order at Tune Talk starting 25th May 2012.

At the moment, no info on the arrival date of BlackBerry Curve 9320 has been unveiled, but details will be provided in the near future, when RIM also unveils all on its distribution and carrier partners in Malaysia.
