R-Type Command will be its full name and it will bring to us the same story of the series: a desperate war against an alien race known as Bydo sees the entire humanity on the road to extinction, since each and every wave of fighters they send against the aliens never returns. Now, the only hope lays in the hands of a lone commander, sent to lead a small army on a perilous mission into the heart of the Bydo Empire. Low on fuel and forced to scavenge resources and equipment from the surroundings, our commander must use everything he has ever learned if he hopes to succeed, let alone make it home alive. This will be your story and you will have all the power of the PSP console to help you with your quest, if that's to make any difference...
So the R-Type series is brought to life as a tactical turn based strategy that allows the players, for the first time in the history, to control the Bydo forces and lead their deadly assault on Earth. Also, over 100 different unit types will be available for you to purchase and upgrade, in order to create the best army to achieve your goals. And if you get a little bored by the single player campaign, you can always go on for a head to head multiplayer battle!
R-Type Command will be released for the PSP on the 6th of May, with a recommended price of $39.99.
