Notion Ink, the Indian tablet manufacturer that launched the Adam device a few months ago, and Quickoffice, Inc., a leader in mobile office productivity solutions, have just announced that Quickoffice is the exclusive Office application embedded on the Adam tablet. The application will offer support for viewing and editing of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, the duo announced.

For those out of the loop, as should note that the Notion Ink Adam tablet arrives on shelves with a dual-core application processor, a 10-inch touchscreen display, and Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. The company's customized Eden user interface would offer a great experience to users.

Running under Google's Android operating system, the device would offer a nice range of features to all users, including the said Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite, a full-featured productivity suite for the mobile operating system.

The application offers seamless integration with mobile cloud storage providers such as Google docs, Box.net and Dropbox, so that users can access content stored in remote repositories whenever they are.

“The ability to not only access and view important documents, but to also edit and share them on your mobile device is crucial for consumers and mobile professionals in today's fast-paced world,” said CTO, Rohit Rathi, at Notion Ink.

“We're excited to provide consumers with our one-of-a-kind Adam tablet. The inclusion of Quickoffice will ensure they can remain productive when on the road.”

Through Quickoffice's file manager, one would be able to easily create folders and organize content.

Among the actions that this application supports, we can count creating, copying, moving, deleting and renaming files, and more.

The features list of the software also includes email address fields integrated with contacts, so that one can easily choose addresses and share content. Moreover, the app would provide an advanced Excel-compatible calculation engine.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Adam tablet from Notion Ink,” said David Halpin, VP of engineering.

“Tablet users will truly appreciate the key viewing and editing functionality Quickoffice's software provides, along with the ability to easily access and manage their remote content whenever they are mobile.”
