Your office on your BlackBerry smartphone

Quickoffice, the Texas-based company that provides office software for mobile devices, has announced the availability of eOffice 4.5 for RIM's BlackBerry smartphones. You might know that eOffice is an application developed by Dynoplex, but since Quickoffice recently bought the company, it now has full rights over its products.

Coming as the latest native BlackBerry office suite, eOffice 4.5 can provide BlackBerry owners with a more efficient method of managing office files and email attachments on their device. Its enhanced user interface should allow you to quickly access and read PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and graphic files, just like on your desktop computer (only on a smaller scale, of course, since smartphones have tiny screens when compared to the ones of PCs).

The 4.5 version of the application further allows you to fully edit both Word and Excel documents and makes it easy for you to print documents, directly from your smartphone.

eOffice 4.5 is compatible with Google Docs and Spreadsheets, this way allowing more users to simultaneously work on the same project.

Talking about the new made-for-BlackBerry product, Paul Moreton, vice president of product management at Quickoffice, stated, "Having reliable and remote access to documents is vital for an increasing number of mobile professionals who work while away from the office. The latest release of eOffice brings important features to our customers, focusing on the user experience and improving productivity while on-the-go. Our solution works on all BlackBerry phones, without requiring users to purchase the latest BlackBerry devices and server software."

If you want to download a demo version of eOffice 4.5, or buy its full version, you can do it at this address. The software has a "special introductory" price of 29.95 USD (21 Euros) and it should have no problems in running on any device that features BlackBerry OS 4.5 or even earlier versions of the OS.
