Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that it's decided to release Quantum Break in 2015, delaying it from the initial 2014 release period, and announced that a full gameplay demonstration will be made at Gamescom 2014 this August, not at E3 2014 in June.

Quantum Break is one of the most intriguing exclusive games set to appear for the Xbox One in the future, with Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind great franchises like Max Payne or Alan Wake, stating that it wants to revolutionize gaming with the ambitious project.

At E3 2013 last year, the studio mentioned during Microsoft's press conference that the game would deliver intense action sequences with time manipulation mechanics and that each chapter would be followed by a live action TV show episode that shows the impact of player choices.

Now, however, it seems that Remedy needs extra time in order to fully realize the ambitious project, as it's just confirmed through a special gameplay teaser that the game is now set to appear in 2015.

In the video below, you can hear Remedy Entertainment's Sam Lake talk a bit about Quantum Break, which combines a cinematic action game with a top-of-the-line live action show.

The whole project is envisioned with these two aspects working in unison but, as we heard previously, players won't be forced to endure gameplay or TV episodes if they don't want to.

Lake also mentioned that the game will be about the heroes, while the show focuses on the villains.

"In the game, you play Jack Joyce in a desperate fight to stop the fracture that threatens to cause the end of time. In the show, in the style of an edgy modern TV series, you follow the schemes and power play inside Monarch, the corporation that's Jack's main enemy."

"We are working hard to bring you an entertainment experience like no other," Lake added.

Last but not least, the executive confirmed that the "time-amplified action gameplay" will be presented for the first time ever in August, at the Gamescom 2014 conference.

At the end of the trailer, you can also admire some actual gameplay footage, showing time manipulation, third-person shooting, but also some intense hand-to-hand combat sequences with Jack taking down Monarch troops.

You can expect to hear at least a few details about Quantum Break at E3 2014, offered in order to keep Xbox One fans interested in the game before its full-fledged demonstration at the end of summer.
