Held in Texas

Quake... a game that became legend. 10 years passed since the first player shot the first monster. During this time hundreds of FPS appeared and disappeared, but Quake resisted. I don't think there is not a gamer that hasn't played even for five minutes one of the versions of this title.

In 1996, a few guys that knew each other on the IRC met in person and since then this reunion takes place every year and it is known as QuakeCon.

This year, QuakeCon is at the tenth edition and everybody is invited to celebrate. For this event, Id Software chose the city of Grapevine, Texas, and the period during which is held: 11 and 14 August.

Id Software chose this location for the tenth edition because the first one took place in Texas. If the first edition was participated only by 100 people, last year's QuakeCon-ul united more than 6000 participants; this year, even more people are expected.

Subscription to this event, based on the "first come, first served", will be made online starting with 15 April.

QuakeCon is the most important reunion of this kind and although it kept its original name, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Doom 3 (all developed by Id Software) are also discussed there.
