It's a known fact that gaming enthusiasts don't settle for mainstream products, as they are always looking for devices that they can rely on and which provide them with a certain edge over the competition. This is one of the main reasons why companies such as Logitech, Razer, Roccat Studios, Saitek and others are continuously updating their product portfolios with new solutions aimed at the aforementioned segment. On that note, Swedish gaming gear maker QPAD has just announced the introduction of its first gaming mouse, specifically designed to meet the requirements of gaming enthusiasts and provide them with a number of unique features. Dubbed 5K, the new peripheral promises to deliver an impressive performance and become a competitor for similar products already available on the market.

“We have been planning to make a mouse for several years now. Until now the optical and laser technology hasn't lived up to QPAD standards. With this mouse we are setting a new standard for gaming mice,” said QPAD founder Christer Körnbäck. “Just as with our headset this is a product which fits right into the premium segment of the market. I really enjoy playing with the QPAD 5K, it works with the extreme high speed movements that used to be a huge problem for laser mice. QPAD 5K delivers a micro precision never seen before, and our 5 finger ergonomic shape is fantastic. The design of the mouse is shaped to fit a 5 finger grip and by doing this we make sure that you have as little friction as possible.”

The numbers that make up the new mouse from QPAD include a resolution of 90 – 5040 CPI (counts per inch), 30G maximum acceleration, 3.8m/s max. speed, 1000Hz USB polling rate, 10.8 MPS (Mega Pixels per second), seven buttons, out of which five are programmable, 12,000 FPS sampling rate and a 1ms USB response time. The QPAD 5K also comes with a unique software application that is designed to enable users access to the various configurable features of the new mouse.

According to the company, the 5K gaming mouse is set to go on sale starting October 20th, with a recommended price tag of 59.99 EURO+VAT, while pre-orders have already been made available.
