NAS devices used by homes and small offices don't often need to have more than 10-12 TB capacity in order to satisfy all needs, but QNAP Decided to make it possible anyway.

That is why it has launched the Turbo NAS TS-x51 series, which, while it does feature 2- and 4-bay models, also includes 6-bay and 8-bay units.

When filled with 4 TB, 5 TB or 6 TB storage devices, those last two really open up new backup and streaming possibilities.

QNAP expansion enclosures (UX-500P or UX-800P with 5 and 8 drive bays, respectively) can further add to the top capacity, until you can have 80 TB available for the devices connected to your network. 3.5/2.5-inch SATA 6 Gbps HDD/SSD are supported.

The newcomers have an Intel Celeron 2.41 GHz processor inside them, as well as 4 GB or 1 GB DDR3L RAM, though you can go all the way up to 8 GB if you feel it needed.

As for connectivity, there's the obligatory Gigabit Ethernet support (two ports), HDMI output (for direct streaming to TVs/monitors). And USB 3.0 (two or three ports, depending on model).

Prices weren't provided, but they don't matter that much, since the real wallet breakers will be the HDDs or SSDs you will have to buy to fill them up with.
