The Fragpedal Deluxe pedals for hardcore gamers

"You're so lame, I pwned you with my feet, you n00b!" This will (presumably) become quite a popular phrase among FPS fans playing in multiplayer mode, as soon as the device(s) you're about to see, namely the Fragpedal Deluxe, will become a "must have" for any serious gamer. And why's that? Well, simply because, with a little training, this thing could allow someone to use all his/her 4 limbs for shooting, changing weapons, firing secondary shots etc., thus increasing their speed and response time while fragging away at their opponents.

The Fragpedal Deluxe device from ThinkGeek consists of 2 low-profile wrapped polycarbonate pads with CNC aluminum end caps, which feature two tough membrane switch buttons each. Moreover, they can be positioned individually for an optimum ergonomic result, and sport a non-skid rubber base, that keeps them firmly positioned on the floor or carpet. Each of the 4 buttons is designed to carry out a certain function, but these functions can very easily be customized via the special programming tool, so that you'll get just about any keyboard or mouse function you desire right at your feet.

Here are some of the most important tech specs and features these things have to offer:

- dimensions: 17.8 cm x 10.2 cm x 1.2 cm; - weight: 453.6 grams; - USB cord length: 1.52 meters to the PC, 60 cm between the pads; - features 4 tough rubber smart buttons controlled by embedded microprocessor technology; - powerful macro capabilities provided by the built-in Cypress Encore microprocessor running PAL 2.0; - built-in 32KB memory chip for storing and accessing up to 30 different configuration settings; - compatible with Mac OSX, Linux, and Windows (Vista included).

Leaving aside the fact that I could have really used the Fragpedal when I was being fragged to high heavens by my colleagues from Games a few days back, this device could also have a much more serious use. Thus, it could actually be an extremely helpful tool for the people with various disabilities of the upper limbs, allowing them to (almost) fully control a computer with their feet. And all of this for just 70 US dollars, a very small price for such a useful device, if you ask me.
