14 DAY TRIAL // LeAnn Rimes has rarely been in the spotlight for anything else than her music or her acting roles. The other day, though, that came to change, as reports had it that she was spotted kissing her “Northern Lights” married co-star, Eddie Cibrian. LeAnn, who is also married, denied the story, as also did Cibrian, but there is video evidence that shows exactly the contrary, as Us Magazine can confirm.
The story made the rounds in the national and international media mainly because, at first, Rimes neither denied nor confirmed the affair. All she said was that she and husband Dean Sheremet were going through “a difficult time.” Hours later, she went back on the story and denied that there was anything more between her and Cibrian than a relationship of friendship, claiming that it was the media who was taking pictures of them on set and running them “out of context.”
However, Us Magazine, the same publication that also broke the story, has now video evidence that the two are, indeed, romantically involved. The mag got a hold of a surveillance tape from a restaurant where the two went out on a date, and the images on it speak volumes as to the nature of their relationship, it is being stressed. There is no denying that they’re an item, the mag claims, since they’re seen kissing, holding hands and acting very much like a couple.
“Twenty-two seconds into the clip, Cibrian arrives at the restaurant and they walk in hand-in-hand. Then they’re seated – as seen in the center left of the frame – and proceed to hold hands (36 seconds) and kiss (1:47). They leave together shortly after.” Us Weekly writes. The secret date apparently took place at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California, on March 7.
When the story first broke, Cibrian stated he was outraged by the Audacity of the magazine to run such a blatantly false story, one that would have the potential to destroy two families nonetheless. “It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship.” the actor pointed out in a statement for Access Hollywood.
