Weighs almost a kilo and supports Intel processors

Prolimatech may not have been exactly loud about its work lately, but this doesn't necessarily mean it has been sleeping on the job. In fact, signs seem to suggest that it has been staying covert in order to prepare something special for the high-end market, a certain product that will stand out not just through its name, but also its performance. The product in question reportedly goes by the rather unusual, but suggestive, name of Super Mega and is a very large and heavy CPU cooler.

The Prolimatech Super Mega makes use of a two-piece tower design and measures, in total, 130 (L) x 74 (W) x 158.7 (H) mm. It has a nickel-plated copper base and no less than six 6mm heatpipes that draw the heat out of said plate and send it into the two fin arrays. Said arrays are mostly composed of aluminum fins, but there are a number of copper ones thrown into the mix, for a better heat dissipation. All in all, the entire thing weighs 945.3 grams and offers up to 70 pounds of contact pressure.

The two-piece tower design that the Super Mega Cooler is based on is the same as the one featured in the Megahalems and Mega Shadow models. It should be able to perform quite admirably when placed on top of any CPU, especially with a pair of fans mounted on either side. The spinners can have a diameter of either 120mm or 140mm and will most likely cause great winds to circulate within one's high-end desktop. It falls to the end-users themselves to look for spinners that suit their cooling and sound output preferences.

The Prolimatech Super Mega cooler is supposedly compatible with Intel Central Processing Units. Unfortunately, pricing and availability details have not been disclosed as of yet.
