We live in some pretty tough financial times, and with the gaming budget for a lot of people being drastically reduced, the best way to guarantee a profit for video game companies, both developers and publishers, is to make a lot of deals and promotions in order to get people interested.

Although Valve's Steam is a champion at such things, lately Microsoft's Xbox Live service seemed to be set on catching up with it through the old Xbox Live Deal of the Week program, which takes various Downloadable Content or Arcade games and offers them with a discount to gamers who own an Xbox 360 console.

We've already seen hit arcade title Braid and the Mission Mode pack for Ninja Gaiden II reach the bargain bin at Xbox Live, and now it seems that racing fans will also be able to save some money if they want to buy the Challenge Pack for the very popular Project Gotham Racing 4 title. Here's what the DLC contains:

-Seven new cars: The 2008 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept, 2007 Volkswagen Golf GTI W12-650, 2007 Peugeot Flux, 1987 BMW M3 E30 DTM, 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, 2008 Honda S2000 CR, and 2008 Callaway C16 Speedster.

-Three new bikes: The 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1, 1995 Aprilia RS 250, and 1998 Aprilia RSV 1000 Tuono R.

-World Challenge Arcade Mode: 20 arcade events in 3 themed chapters, including 5 events that can only be done on platinum.

-Tourist Mode: Get a free ride with friends around any game city.

-Free Roam Cat and Mouse: A slow mouse vehicle runs from enemy cats.

Ten new achievements

Players who delayed the purchase of this DLC will now be able to benefit from a 40 percent saving, as it now bears a price tag of just 240 MS Points. Look forward to new deals in the following weeks, which will be posted on our website as soon as they are announced. Until then, have fun racing with the new content offered by this pack.
