It's indeed a neat thing to see a manufacturer like Miller & Kreisel coming back from the dead and announcing new stuff in a time when most of us were preparing to say farewell and got used to the idea that companies sometimes close down. Well, instead of closing down, it seems like we haven't seen the last of M&K, as new professional-grade gear has been cleared for shipping and is more than eager to find its place in your homes.

[admark=1]We're talking equipment for the serious audio enthusiasts: building on the success of the previous M 5 surround system, the new blast has the codename M 7 and promises a lot more performance from even better looking design As for the rest, professionals just know that Miller & Kreisel have nothing to do with compromise and this badge is the warrant for great sound. Now, the new surround sound system sports carefully-engineered components, ready to deliver you a high-class performance with both musical warmth and explosive power, suitable for your audio tracks or for home cinema purposes as well.

The M 7 comes with the critical M SB-12 powered subwoofer which can peel the plaster on your walls with as much as 250 W of RMS power, ranging from a quacking 20 Hz bass to 200Hz, neatly blending in with the other speakers. With an articulate presence and thumping sound, this woofer also comes with 0-180 phase adjustment and is easy to integrate with other gear thanks to the line out and speaker level connectors.

On the satellite side, the new system runs with M-7 front-channel speakers built to surpass the previous units in both sound and technology-loading; these satellites come with a hefty driver array consisting of dual 4 " coated pulp midrange/bass units, magnetically shielded and complemented with a 1" soft-dome tweeter running on a neodymium magnet motor. The 80 Hz - 20 kHz range is divided by the proprietary Phase Focused crossover, ensuring better listening and a more transparent sound staging.

The surround speakers of the new M 7 array are the tripole M-4 units, with direct-radiating drivers combined with additional side-firing speakers and the Phase Focus crossovers, providing a timbre-matched, incredibly even dispersion across the room, and enhancing the realism of the acoustic field. These high-tech surrounds come with the same 4" coated pulp cones and 1" ferrofluid-cooled soft-dome tweeters for a perfect tonal coherence.

While Miller & Kreisel are shipping the new M 7 surround sound system for around $3,500, the older version, the M 5 is still available for around $3,000.
