The team at Konami in charge of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 is announcing that it will hold the world finals of its virtual Championship on June 6 in Berlin, in front of the Brandenburg Gate, during a set of events that will take place just before the final of the real world Champions League.

Competitors from countries like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Asia and Latin America will be involved, and all the matches will be played on the PlayStation 4.

All those who take part have won an official Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 already, and all the matches will be streamed on Twitch so fans can see how the top players in the world approach the football sim.

The world finals will start on June 6 at 12 AM Pacific Standard Time, and the final match will probably happen around 9 AM PST.

The winner will be able to take home 20,000 dollars (18,000 Euro) and will also be able to attend the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus.

Erik Bladinieres, the European brand director of football at Konami, states, "And what better venue to host such a special event than Olympiastadion - ahead of the actual UEFA Champions League Final! This perfectly illustrates our close ties with football’s greatest club competition and we look forward to a hard-fought and exciting tournament - with the winner then heading to watch the actual Final as part of their prize."

No details have been announced so far about Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

Konami has been recently focusing their efforts on the new Metal Gear Solid title that will be launched in September, but the company needs to deliver some details about its new football sim as quickly as possible.

The game is expected to arrive in October, and the company needs to find a way to showcase its collaboration with UEFA and the fact that it has exclusive access to the license for the Champions League.

Recently, EA Sports made the first announcement about the rival FIFA 16, which will include women's national football teams for the first time in the history of the series.

The title is set to be launched on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on September 24.
