The new spyware worm was reported by SophosLabs

According to experts from SophosLabs (virus, spyware and spam analysis center for Sophos), the newly spotted worm PrsKey-A is stealing usernames, passwords and other personal information from players of the Internet role-playing game "Priston Tale".

Apparently, it stays in the background until either Priston Tale or Yahoo mail systems are accessed. That's when it actually steals information through capturing keypresses.

Besides harming "personally" the computers of the players, the worm also allows hackers to enter on Yahoo e-mail accounts and steal already infected users identities.

The "Priston Tale" is a 3D fantasy multi-player game on the Internet that involves fighting monsters coming from South Korea. Now it has millions of subscribers all over the world, mostly in South Korea of course, but also in Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand and all the English-speaking countries.

The worm is not classified as "highly malicious" and there aren't many reported cases of intrusion and stealing information.

Still, due to some previous similar experiences like "Lineage", "Outwar " and "Legend of Mir 2 " attacks, Sophos recommends players to make sure their anti-virus software is up-to-date on the computers.
