14 DAY TRIAL // Prison Break, the hugely popular TV series that concluded its 3rd season at the beginning of 2008, will soon be available on mobile phones. Not as a film, but as a game that will try to bring the TV series' intense drama to our handsets.
Produced by Vivendi, Prison Break for mobiles is an action game (couldn't have been otherwise) that will allow players to "become" Michael Scofield, the most famous and most tattooed (fictional) inmate of the recent years. The game's action is concentrated on the first series of the movie, hence the final goal is to escape, together with Lincoln, Michael's brother, from the Fox River State Penitentiary. Vivendi says that more than ten of the original characters appear during the game, including Abruzzi and Sucre (besides the two brothers, of course). There is no mentioning of the pretty Dr. Sara Tancredi, and it would be a shame if she will not appear in the mobile game. But I guess she is not left out, since she's the one that actually allows Michael and the others to escape (in the movie at least).
Vivendi's Prison Break comes with 12 different environments and no less than 36 detailed maps that give you the chance to show (or not) your intelligence. Prison riots, tunnel diggings and various puzzles that need to be solved will try to keep you hooked while preparing the final grand escape.
Prison Break for mobile phones should become available starting June 2008, via Vivendi's website and other mobile game publishers.
Casting Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Sarah Wayne Callies, among others, the real Prison Break will soon come with its 4th season. I can't say if this is a good thing or not, but we'll find out when the new series comes out, somewhere at the end of 2008.
