Does this mean that the princess will do a lap dance at the end?

Just a little while ago, the Internet blew up in flames with news on a revamped Prince of Persia Classic about to hit Xbox Live Arcade, making the delight of Xbox 360 gamers and fans of Jordan Mechner's old PC title. Well, as of tomorrow morning, Xbox 360 gamers worldwide will be able to enjoy the face lifted Prince of Persia Classic for a mere 800 MS points, given that it is probably the most popular PC title of the genre.

Ubisoft's Prince of Persia Classic will again put gamers in the shoes of the brave prince, who has to rescue the beautiful princess from the evil vizier, Jaffar. Of course, gamers won't actually be in the "shoes" of the prince as, in the original PC title, the main character has some white clothes (a bit better than Jesus') and no shoes. He runs on the cold levels of the dungeon, bare footed. Anyway, back to the story.

Jaffar is giving the princess no more, no less than one hour to make up her mind whether to marry him (he is ugly and has a black fluffy beard, probably full of lice), or kill the prince, her one true love (Right...! Wait 'till some prince with shoes comes to the rescue). 60 minutes is all you have, but luckily, this revamped version is going to have checkpoints, so you won't have to start from the beginning all the time. And believe me, you're gonna die a lot in this game.

The prince/player, will have to jump across platforms and avoid traps, while also collect bottles of potions to keep the power bar charged as he duels enemies on his way to the princess. Some of them even increase your power and life bars. If I remember correctly (which I don't always do), the original title also had poison-filled bottles, so do be careful. They should be colored differently, or the vapors coming out of them or something...

Here are the game's main features, and remember, we're talking about a totally improved Prince of Persia here, keeping stages (well, there is only one big one) and story the same:

- Enhanced character designs, animations and visuals - New traps, puzzles and enemies to tackle and further augment the classic experience - 12 Achievements will be available, ranging from the simple (finding the sword in the first level) to the near impossible (finding all the potions in the game or finishing the game without dying)!

Prince of Persia Classic will feature 3 different leader boards:

Normal Mode: Complete the game as fast as possible, which saves at the end of each level Time Attack Mode: Complete the game as fast as possible ? but be prepared to start from the beginning if you fail to save the Princess in under 60 minutes Survival Mode: Complete the entire game in under 60 minutes ? without dying

Really now, who has the necessary brain power to beat Survival Mode in Prince of Persia? OK, just remember that the title is going to be available worldwide for Xbox 360 gamers, starting tomorrow, via Xbox Live Arcade for 800 MS points. But here's something that you can sleep on and wait anxiously to find out first thing in the morning: the game is rated 16+. Do you suppose we're going to have a "happy ending" with the beautiful princess, or could this rating just mean that more blood will squirt out of Jaffar's minions?
