It's good to be the king! Or at least a prince of sorts, as proven by the royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton, proud parents to the lovely Prince George. The couple received Kensington Palace to use as residence, but reports indicate that they feel trapped on the property and are looking for alternatives.

The Daily Mail reports that both Kate and William are keen to seek a different home, despite the recent costly refurbishments of the palace, that were done from taxpayers' money. They ended up costing several million pounds, and they added things like a Peter Rabbit-themed nursery for Prince George.

At the moment, the place where the royals are looking to escape is in Norfolk. There are several reasons William and Kate want to make the move. One insider reveals that “William and Catherine are not pavement people; they prefer the countryside. They really miss Anglesey. They can’t wait to move into Anmer Hall. All of George’s things will be there – it’s very much going to be their family home.”

The trouble with the Palace is that it's located near Kensington Park, a public place, which means that the royals often find themselves being photographed when going out of the house. Kate hates the fact that people take an active interest in how much shopping she does in London.

Prince Charles, William's father, is said to be 100% behind this decision, as he wants his son to enjoy as private a life he can before becoming a full-time royal. That means that the move to Norfolk is sanctioned by the Crown, even if it means investing some more millions in the home over there.

As an added bonus, most of the couple's “posh friends” live in Norfolk, so there's bound to be someone to have some fun with if rural life gets a little bit too boring for them. The couple are expected to make their move and live in Norfolk for at least two years.

A source reveals that “The North Norfolk scene is incredibly tight and very posh. William and Kate will fit right in. They know the area very well already. They will be very well protected here and they will be able to come and go without being worried about the paparazzi. Historically the Royals are very social with their neighbours and that’s largely because most of them are aristocrats and wealthy landowners.”

In the least, being away from public eyes is going to give Kate and William plenty of time to work on that second pregnancy that's been rumored to be officially announced any day now. Except that we've been hearing that for months and there hasn't been a baby bump in sight.
