One can basically do anything in today's video games, but there are still a few game concepts that manage to amaze the world. One of these games is Prey The Stars, an eating puzzle title developed by Koei, scheduled to be released on the 7th of October 2008, exclusively for the Nintendo DS handheld. So, everybody who wished to become an eat-everything kind of Pac-man, now is your chance!

So, even though this is not a title organizations fighting against obesity will love too much, it can be pretty fun anyway: the main goal will be to eat as much as possible in each stage. Buildings, food, trees and anything else you'll find along the way can and should be eaten, since a few objects hold within some ancient spirits that will count even more to your score.

The game also serves an incredible world with four customizable creatures: Gabu, Bari, Chuchu and Pero. The more they eat, the bigger they will get, so Prey The Stars might be a good way to show your children that overeating is neither good nor healthy.

If you're more of a social person, the game has the answer to your problems: it offers a delicious count of multiplayer options. Gamers can feast in the company of up to 4 friends using Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play or Multi-Card Play, or take their gastronomic conquest worldwide with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The characters are exclusively designed by Japanese pop artist Touma - the highly-respected designer is renowned for his creations, including Knuckle Bear and Boo, which have taken the urban vinyl toy industry by storm.

The game will be released in October with a suggested retail price of $29.99 and, to be honest, there is one thing I really don't understand: why is its name Prey The Stars? Because I honestly see no connection between the title and the fact that you have to eat everything in sight. Oh, yes, you can't eat stars, even though you can see them. But I doubt that's the explanation.
