Seeing as how Prey 2 has been confirmed without any sort of details about its actual story or gameplay, rumors have already begun popping up about its narrative, fueled by a teaser trailer that appeared yesterday.

Prey 2 was officially confirmed yesterday by its developer, Human Head, and its publisher, Bethesda, but, unfortunately for fans of the original, no details about it were actually revealed.

Now, G4TV has released the first teaser trailer for Prey 2, confirming some of the rumors that appeared since its announcement.

In the original Prey, native American protagonist Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi, while exploring an alien space ship, saw a plane crash into it.

Prey 2, according to the rumors, will focus on an air marshal that was on board the plane and how he will start exploring the space ship.

This is reinforced by the teaser trailer, showcasing scenes from the plane just as it crashed into the alien ship, alongside the air marshal.

He will try to survive on the ship, in parallel to the events in the first game, but, according to the rumors, he is quickly captured by the aliens and shipped to another planet.

There, the marshal will become a bounty hunter, doing jobs for different clients and meeting all sorts of alien races.

The game will feature an open world, with multiple ways to complete objectives and missions, according to the same rumors posted by Kotaku.

Prey 2 will still be a first-person shooter, but Human Head will add a wide array of new gameplay features, such as taking cover by gripping ledges and using platforming elements from games like Assassin's Creed.

Players will contact clients through communicators and will learn more about the creatures they meet by scanning them, which showcases their identity and intentions.

As of yet, however, Bethesda hasn't commented on any of these rumors, instead letting details trickle in from the various cover stories run by gaming magazines all around the world.

Until it actually admits to anything, check out the teaser trailer for Prey 2 below.
